[Men's Wrestling] Benedictine College set to host 2020 Heart Wrestling Championship on Saturday

For the first time in program history, the Raven Wrestling team will be hosting the Heart of America Athletic Conference Wrestling Championship.

The 2020 Championship will start at 9 a.m. Saturday inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium and run through completing sometime during the late afternoon, early evening.

Admission for the Championship is $10 for adult GA tickets and $5 for visiting college students and high school through grade school students. Children 4 and under are free.

The Ralph Nolan Gymnasium is located in the heart of the Benedictine College campus. ff you are planning to make the trip to campus, please visit our virtual campus map located at https://map.concept3d.com/?id=847. When viewing the map, click on the building labels box on the left of the screen and it will display the building names. The gymnasium can be accessed through the front entrance of the John Paul II Student Center and visitor parking is available in the lots immediately to the North of the JPII Center as well as at the top of the campus by the library. If you do park in the library lot, you will be asked to walk around the JPII Center to the main entrance to gain entrance to the gymnasium. 

Concessions will be located on the upper level of the JPII Center and signage will be posted to assists visitors in locating concessions. In addition to the usual concessions items, lunch and dinner (if needed) options will be available so that once you arrive on campus, you won’t have to go back into Atchison to grab lunch.

Saturday’s entire championship will be streamed on the Benedictine Raven Sports Network and can be found at portal.stretchinternet.com/ben as well as accessed through the NAIA app on AppleTV, Roku, and Amazan FireTV. The broadcast will feature footage of all three mats in action with the center map as the feature match. In addition to commentary on the feature match, the play by play duo of Dakota Smith and Will Alexander will keep viewers up to date on all fo the action with bracket updates as they become available.

In addition to Benedictine, Heart schools competing on Saturday are Baker University, Central Methodist University, Graceland University, Grand View University, Missouri Valley College and William Penn University. Two additional associate members will also be competing from Dickinson State University and Waldorf University.
