Men’s Wrestling – Wed, Nov. 25, 2020

DES MOINES – The Raven Wrestling team faced off against NAIA No. 1 Grand View University for the second time this season as they continued Heart of America Athletic Conference action. The Vikings walked off the mat with a 55-0 win over the Ravens to move Benedictine to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Heart.

“Anytime you go against these guys, you have to come out ready to fight for every point and wrestle every second on the clock,” said head coach Marcus Cobbs. “I saw some positives, but we still have a lot to improve on. We’ll head back to the drawing board.”

The highlight of the dual for the Ravens came from Jensen McDermott who suffered a 5-1 defeat to GV’s McCunn.

The dual against Grand View concludes the 2020 portion of Benedictine’s schedule. The program is off from competition until Jan. 9 when they will travel to Marshall, Mo., to take on Missouri Valley College in another Heart dual.
