The Raven Wrestling team wrapped up their scheduled regular season on Friday night as they hosted (12) Graceland University inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.

While Benedictine showed signs of competing right alongside the nationally-ranked Yellowjackets, Graceland pulled away from Benedictine for a 39-6 win.

Graceland entered the dual with five individually NAIA-ranked wrestlers at 125 pounds, 133 pounds, 157 pounds, 174 pounds, and 184 pounds.

All 10 weight classes were contested with Benedictine earning one win. Gino Camarca (149 pounds) earned a win by fall to make the dual score 14-6, but that proved to be all the points the Ravens could get on the night.

Senior Keena Graef lost a closely contested dual to (11) Israel Casarez as Casarez held off Graef for a 5-2 win. In another closely contest dual, Graceland’s John Schuttler was able to score a late takedown to beat Benedictine’s Garret St. Clair (197 pounds) 11-10.

The Ravens will return to the practice mat to prepare for the Heart Wrestling Championships which won’t take place until Feb. 13 as they return to Oskaloosa, Iowa on the campus of William Penn University.
