[Men's Wrestling] Wrestling falls 42-7 to (7) Missouri Valley College in 2021 debut

MARSHALL, Mo. – The Raven Wrestling team returned to action for the first time in 2021 stepping on the mat at Missouri Valley on Saturday.

The No. 7-ranked Vikings earned a 42-7 win over the Ravens as Benedictine competed for the first time since Nov. 24.

Benedictine picked up two wins out of the nine contested matches. Keenan Graef earned a 14-5 major decision win over Larry Rodriguez at 157 pounds while Jensen McDermott won by fall 3-2 over David Bortz at 174 pounds.

Tyson Albright dropped a two-point decision at 184 pounds as he fell to No. 13-ranked Hayden Wempen at 184 pounds.

Next up on the schedule for the Ravens, a trip down Highway 73 to take on the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15. The Ravens are scheduled to host their first event of the semester on Nov. 19 when they welcome William Penn University and Central Christian College inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
