Men’s Wrestling – Thu, Nov. 12, 2020

Tonight’s Heart of America Athletic Conference wrestling dual with Baker University scheduled to take place inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium has been postponed. The request to postpone the dual has come at the request of the Benedictine Athletic Department.

“This decision was made out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our student-athletes,” stated Heart Commissioner Lori Thomas. “The conference and teams are adhering to the outlined guidelines in the Heart Promise.”

The decision comes after contact tracing and quarantine procedures were enacted. Quarantine results when individuals come in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case, which has created the need for student-athletes to potentially complete a 14-day quarantine. Delaying this dual will allow student-athletes to return to the mat in the safest manner possible by allowing the appropriate time for practice and physical reconditioning.

No makeup date has been set. When that information becomes available, it will be posted on the wrestling schedule page at https://www.ravenathletics.com/schedule/0/9.php.

More information on how Benedictine is working through these challenging times is available at www.benedictine.edu/coronavirus/index. More information regarding the Heart Promise is available on the Heart website at www.heartofamericaconference.com.
