CONCORDIA, Kan. – Due to the extreme cold weather temperatures causing expected widespread power outages across the state of Kansas, the Cloud County Community College wrestling double dual scheduled to take place against Colby and Barton in Colby has been postponed until Thursday, February 18th.

The decision comes as all three schools competing in the double dual have closed their campuses for the day to help limit electrical usage as the entire state of Kansas has been asked to reduce their electrical needs. The postponement marks the first time this year that the T-Bird wrestling program has seen a scheduled competition get postponed as CCCC will enter the double dual with a 4-3 overall dual record.

Thursday will keep the original schedule for the double dual as Cloud County will take on Barton beginning at 4 p.m. to open the day before taking on Colby at 6 p.m. The final dual of the day is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and will feature the host Trojans hosting the Cougars to close out the first half of the double round-robin schedule within the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

If any other schedule changes occur throughout the semester, they will be announced as they happen on www.cloudtbirds.com. Fans can also get schedule updates regarding all Cloud County athletic teams by following @CCCCSports on Twitter and liking Cloud County Athletics on Facebook.
