Jim Ramirez The Scott Community Beavers literally dug its way through the Abilene Invitational scoring 218 points and almost doubling the team score over second place Phillipsburg.
From recent rankings, one would think Abilene ranked #7 in 4A would dominate their own tournament with possibly fighting it out with Phillipsburg since they were ranked #9 in 3,2,1A.
But somebody forgot to tell Scott Community cause they wrestled the entire tournament with making a valid statement that they better not be overlooked so easily.
The Beavers gnawed away its competition by placing eight in the finals and crowning two champions in Collin McDaniel @ 126 and Zach Rohrbough @ 145.
Collectively the Beavers placed 10 wrestlers in the Top 4 to help spell the critical difference in its big margin of victory.
