Allen, Texas Brought it’s A Game to Kansas and Wins the Gardner Edgerton Invite

National Powerhouse Allen, Texas brought its A Game to the Gardner Edgerton Invitational and showed why it deserves to be nationally ranked.

Each year this Texas team manages to see several of its wrestlers get heavily recruited to well known NCAA and NAIA universities who end up becoming college All-Americans.

This year will be no different as they managed to top a field of 15 competitive teams from five different states to bring home a championship trophy. Included in this field are several other well known out-of-state wrestling powerhouse such as Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Southeast Polk, Iowa, Edmond Memorial, Oklahoma and Kansas own 7-Time defending State Class 5A Champion the Goddard Lions.

As if that’s not enough strength or burden of proof as to how tough this tournament actually is, the tournament field likewise includes several other power house teams from Kansas ranked number 2, 3 and 9 with Olathe North, Dodge City and Gardner Edgerton from Class 6A, along with Mill Valley number 10 ranked in Class 5A.
