The Panther wrestlers have been battling through a fierce competition schedule this season, and though they got off to a rough start, they are starting to see a turnaround. They currently stand 2-10 in conference duals, but have recently come off two very close losses to the #5 and #8 teams in NJCAA. The past weekend (3/6) the Neosho wrestlers had a great showing at the NEO Invitational, placing 5 wrestlers and bringing home two champions at 174 and 184 pounds respectively.

Next Up
The Panthers will travel to Parsons to wrestle against Labette Community College on 3/16. They will then compete again on 3/23 in a make-up event against Labette and NEO A&M. The NJCAA National Championships will take place on April 21-22 in Council Bluffs. Due to the pandemic and fewer teams competing this season, the national tournament will be invitational style, allowing every team the opportunity to bring ten wrestlers (1 per weight class). Coach Nothern is optimistic that the team can put multiple guys on the podium by the end of the year.
