Jets to Host Jet Duals on Sunday, Fans Not Permitted

WICHITA, Kan. – Newman Wrestling will host the Jet Duals this Sunday starting at 9:00 A.M. inside Fugate Gymnasium. Their first dual will come against Central Oklahoma in what will count as an MIAA Conference match. They will also square off against Emmanuel College.

Attendance Policy: Due to the amount of teams in attendance, NO FANS will be allowed in Fugate Gymnasium for the duals.
 
You can follow along on trackwrestling.com or watch all of the mats at themiaanetwork.com/newman. There will be two streams, one showing mat one and the other showing mat two.

Newman drops both duals in Fort Hays State Jamboree
Last weekend, the Jets traveled to compete in the Fort Hays State Jamboree where they fell to Colorado Mesa 22-14 and #10 Adams State 29-18.
 
Tyler Lawley Impressive for the Jets last weekend
#4 ranked Tyler Lawley was picked up where he left off from last season securing two wins last weekend over Colorado Mesa’s Danial Magana with a 12-6 decision and over Adams State’s Grayson LeCompte by fall at 4:50.

Emmanuel College
The Lions are 0-3 and 0-1 in CC play on the season.  Their latest matchup was against UNC Pembroke which they lost 41-4 on Jan. 7^th, 2021.  The Lions are led by #23 ranked wrestler Dalton Flint at 149 pounds who is 2-1 on the season.
 
Central Oklahoma
The Bronchos are 0-0 on the season. Central Oklahoma has only competed against each other in their Bronze vs Blue Dual where Bronze beat Blue 30-9.  NOTE: The Matchup between Jets and Central Oklahoma will be an MIAA Conference matchup.

The Jets will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 23^th to compete in the Midwest Duals in Kearney, Neb. with the meet starting at 9:00 A.M.
