The Pittsburg Blue Dragons had just enough overall team depth to place ten wrestlers in the top four to capture the championship trophy at the Kan-Okla Tournament with sending four to the championships and crowning two champions.
Finishing at a respectable second was Independence who placed six wrestlers overall in the top four, and crowned four champions which was the most champions in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Bartlesville, Oklahoma had three wrestlers of its own win gold medals and finished third in the team race with placing six as well.
Of particular interest were several key matches that included ranked wrestlers competing against one another at the 106 and 285 weight classes.
