Marshall, Mo.- Over the weekend the Swedes Wrestling team competed at the Missouri Valley Invitational.
Freshman, Kaden Goff and sophomore, Isaiah Fredrick led the team with wins in the tournament.
Goff began the tournament with a win over Isaac Wright in the 133-weight bracket. He then suffered a loss at the hands of Jordan Hosselton before going on to win his consolation round two over Jacob Lawrinenko by a fall in 2:47.
The other winner of the day was Frederick in the 157-weight class. He won the match against Jalen Brown. He battled for three rounds until Brown had to medical default.
As a team, the Swedes had 10 wrestlers compete tallying up 9.5 total points.
