KEARNEY, Neb. – Newman Wrestling competed in their second MIAA conference dual of the week, with the Jets taking on #6 Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday.
Jace Fisher, who was completely dominant against Fort Hays State earlier this week, picked up another victory in the MIAA. He would pick up a victory via fall. His opponent gave him an intense and physical contest, taking Fisher almost six minutes to get the pin. The victory gave the Jets a huge six points on the scoreboard.
Collin Creach, who also picked up a win on Thursday against Fort Hays, would get his second win of the week, winning a close contest via decision.
The Jets will pull double duty again next week, as they will take on Labette Community College and Friends University next Saturday in Mulvane, Kansas.
