#10 Northwest Tech Hosts #2 Pratt CC and Cowley College

Goodland, Kan. – The No. 10 ranked Northwest Tech Mavericks will host the No. 2 ranked Pratt Community College Beavers and the Cowley College Tigers in the Northwest Tech Tri-Dual this Wednesday, Jan. 31st, starting at 5:30 p.m. MT. The victor of these three duals will most likely determine who will be the Conference Champions in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.

#10 Northwest Tech vs. #2 Pratt CC

No. 10 NWKTC (6-4, 5-0 KJCCC) is in search of their first victory against No. 2 PCC (4-0, 4-0 KJCCC) since the 2018-19 season. Of note, Northwest Tech’s only dual losses this season come against No. 23 Northern Colorado (NCAA DI), No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney (NCAA D2), No. 1 Western Wyoming (NJCAA), and No. 5 North Idaho (NJCAA).

In the NJCAA Individual Poll Rankings, four Mavericks remain ranked No. 10 Job Lee (157lbs), No. 1 Otgonbayar Batsuuri (174lbs), No. 4 Lazaro Crespo (184lbs), and No. 6 Gavin Dodge (197lbs). On the otherhand, Pratt CC has five potential starters that are ranked, including No. 5 Kaden Spragis (125lbs), No. 1 Easton Taylor (141lbs), No. 4 Gabe Maki (149lbs), No. 1 Cayleb Atkins (165lbs), and No. 3 Blake Jouret (184lbs).

Order of Duals: Northwest Tech vs. Cowley (5:30 p.m.), Cowley vs. Pratt (6:30 p.m.), and Northwest Tech vs. Pratt (7:30 p.m.).
