Alyssa Sequeria places 6th in the Conference Tournament

Plainview, Texas – Alyssa Sequeria (above) is wrestling in the SAC conference tournament. Alyssa would wrestle in the 109 weight class and place 6^th in the conference.

Alyssa would be the lone wrestler representative for the Tigers and she would go a total of 5 rounds. In round 1 Nina Pham of Wayland Baptist would win by tech fall over Alyssa.

Round 2 Mariah Lomas of Oklahoma City University would win by fall over Alyssa. Brianna Leong of Lyon College in Round 3 would win by fall over Alyssa.

Round 4 Jessienna Burkett-Erice of Lyon would win by fall over Alyssa, placing Alyssa in the 5^th place match.

With a chance to go home with 5^th place, Alyssa would give everything she had, but came up just short as Aylen Vivar of Texas Wesleyan would win by tech fall over Alyssa.

After a great season of learning and figuring out college wrestling Alyssa’s future looks bright for her Tiger career. Coach Don will look forward to having Alyssa the next 3 years and looks to improve and be a contender for the podium in the future.
