The Fort Hays State men’s wrestling team will wrap up the 2023-24 regular season Saturday (Feb. 17) when the Tigers host top-ranked Central Oklahoma in a conference dual. Action is slated to begin at 2 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.

FHSU will honor five Tigers on Senior Day, including Cody Hicks, Rhett Koppes, Jacob Mitchell, Juan Urbina and Bryce Westmoreland.

Pending results from Central Oklahoma’s dual on Friday at No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney, multiple Tigers could be wrestling for first team All-MIAA honors on Saturday. D’Andre Brown (125), Juan Urbina (174), Tereus Henry (197) and Tony Caldwell (285) are all 3-1 in league duals so far this season. First team All-MIAA distinction is given to the wrestler with the best record in conference duals at each weight class.

UCO leads the all-time series 38-4, including wins in each of the last seven meetings. Fort Hays State last defeated the Bronchos at home in 2014.

After wrapping up the dual season against UCO, Fort Hays State will take two weeks to prepare for the 2024 NCAA Division II Regional Championships, slated for March 2 in Pueblo, Colo. where the top three finishers in each weight class will qualify for the 2024 NCAA Division II Championships, held in Wichita, Kan. at Hartman Arena March 15-16.
