WICHITA – Jets wrestler Jace Fisher was ranked in the latest Open Mat rankings, placing seventh overall in the 165 weight class. Fisher, who appeared on the list several times this season, has cracked the top ten as he looks to return to Wrestling Nationals right here in Wichita.
Fisher has placed in every tournament he has competed in so far this season, including placing second at the Roger Denker Open this past weekend. Fisher also picked up two wins in duals this season, including a victory over #2 Central Oklahoma.
Fisher and the Jets will have a busy week ahead of them next week, as they will host Fort Hays State next Thursday and take on nationally ranked Nebraska Kearney next Sunday.
The UNK dual was originally scheduled for last Friday, but inclement weather forced the postponement of the event. A new time of 3 PM on Sunday January 28th was announced this week.
