Northwest Tech Wrestling traveled to Northern Colorado University on Sunday for the UNC Quad Duals. This comes after a rough performance against No. 1 ranked Western Wyoming CC on Thursday.

Western Wyoming Dual Results

UNC Quad Duals Results

“Today was a great day to end the first semester,” commented Head Coach Chris Guillot. “Lost a tight dual to No. 4 ranked Northern Idaho. We won 8 of 9 matches against Otero Jr. College. We got shut out against Big 12 UNC; it was probably the best showing against UNC we have ever had with no wins. John Kenney battled to the end and showed he is becoming a real All-American wrestler at 133 pounds, 149 lbs Dayton Bell is for real and was right there to the end against UNC, and Job Lee bumped up to 165 against UNC and got a reversal and near fall before the power took over. 174 lbs Otgonbayar Batsurri came down to a last-second review that he didn’t get the call and Lazaro Crespo lost in overtime. Our wrestlers are on the right track and are finding the intensity to step to the next level. There were big improvements all around; super excited for January!”
